David V. DeMarco

President and CEO

David DeMarco is a Certified Petroleum Landman and has 23 years experience in all aspects of the oil and gas exploration and production business. David has extensive experience with start up oil and gas companies and has managed all aspects of 3-D seismic acquisition, exploration and production activities onshore in the United States. David received his undergraduate degree in Economics with minors in Petroleum Land Management and Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1990.

Keith Baker

VP Exploration

Keith Baker has been an Exploration Geophysicist for over 30 years. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Geology from North Carolina State and a Masters of Science from the University of Wyoming in 1976, he started his career with Exxon in Houston working the Gulf of Mexico and the Alaska, North Slope. In 1979, he moved to Getty Oil Company, working North Louisiana and the Texas Gulf Coast, concentrating on the Wilcox sand in South Texas. For the previous 5 years, Keith was Chief Geophysicist for an independent oil and gas company. He has been responsible for 3D seismic geophysical mapping & interpretations for exploration and development projects

Eric Urban

VP Land and Acquisitions

Eric Urban has served as the Director of Operations of Blacksands Petroleum Texas, LLC before becoming President of Blacksands Petroleum Texas, LLC, a subsidiary of Blacksands Petroleum Inc. Eric brings oil and gas exploration and production business expertise to the Company. For the past 5 years, Eric has worked in exploration and production for an independent oil and gas company. During his tenure, Eric's responsibilities included acquiring new assets, drilling wells, and maximizing production. Eric holds a BBA in International Business from the University of Houston, and is an active member of various professional oil and gas organizations.

Olen Overstreet

Manager of Field Operations

Olen Overstreet brings over 40 years of oil and gas exploration and production business expertise to the Company. For the past 3 years, Olen has worked in production operations for an independent oil and gas company. Olen's responsibilities include designing and supervising new drill wells and workover procedures and maximizing production, Railroad Commission compliance tests, reporting to and communicating with the RRC, down hole pressure tests and computer reports of data obtained from tests, as well as various other duties within well operations, maintenance and compliance areas.
